Whales & Flowers

Hello, Monday!  I have two cards for four challenges to start off the week.  I love this happy colour palette from ColourQ and the patterns on the sheets were perfect inspiration for the Under the Sea theme at Cupcake Inspirations.  I used some Papertrey Ink birthday banner dies (or are they garlands?  Or streamers?) to make my waves and then popped up the PTI whale and sentiment on foam tape.  It actually came together quite quickly which is always a bonus.  :)

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Blue) Paperbilities, (Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Basic Grey) Stampin' Up!
Stamps:  (Whale & sentiment from Keep Swimming) Papertrey Ink
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Die: ((Flag Tags) Paper Smooches, (Banners) Papertrey Ink,
Markers:  (c-1, C-5) Copic
Gems:  Recollections

Next is a card inspired by the photo over at the Fusion challenge and I'm also going to enter it in the CAS-ual Fridays Florals challenge.  I stamped the CAS-ual Fridays flowers with Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and then used some water and a small paintbrush to spread the colour around and fill them in.  Each one has a little Recollections gem in the centre.
Okay that's it for today.  See you tomorrow for CASology!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Watercolor) Ranger, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up!
Stamps:  (All from Wallflower) CAS-ual Fridays
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Peeled Paint, Mermaid Lagoon) Ranger
Glitter:  (Clear Wink of Stella) Zig
Gems:  Recollections

Garlands make great waves. Who knew? I love the way you cut around the flower panel, Jen. It looks great on the black.

What a genius way to combine the two challenges for your whale card! Who cares what the dies are _supposed_ to be. :D The second card is so very pretty. So dramatic on the black background.

Garlands or streamers, Jen, they make fantastic waves for your fabulous whale! Gorgeous cascading florals ... they pop beautifully against the black! Hugs, Anita :)
