Flowers & Candles

***This is my second post for the day.  For my Papertrey Ink Blog Hope post please scroll down or click here.***

Hello there!  Another weekend has quickly come to a close but at least I got some crafty time.  We had a little brush with Tropical Storm Karl early on Saturday morning but thankfully it turned out to be nothing more than a really windy day.

I've got two cards to share this evening.  First up is an entry for the current Muse challenge. Jenni's card is gorgeous and bright - a perfect cheery birthday card.  I was inspired by the blues (although I went more blue/green) and used the same Altenew flowers that Jenni used.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Island Indigo) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  Watercolor Wonder, Many Thanks) Altenew
Inks:  (Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Smokey Slate) Stampin' Up
Dies:  (Stitched Circles) Lil' Inker Designs
Glitter:  (Clear Wink of Stells) Zig
Gems:  Recollections

This card is for two challenges.  I used the design from Freshly Made Sketches and the Celebration theme from Where Creativity Meets C9.  This was pretty quick to put together.  I stamped the Concord & 9th candles three times and than rainbow coloured them with Copics.  Nothing says Celebration quite like a rainbow!

Thanks it for today.  Have a lovely evening!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White, Black) Papertrey Ink
Stamps:  (candles from Eat Cake & Celebrate) Concord & 9th, (Sentiment from Birthday Wishes) Mama Elephant
Inks:  (VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow

Great cards! Love the layered flower and the use of grey for the leaves. Unexpected, but it really works! Love the candle and the funny sentiment, too! So glad to see you at Muse this week!

Wonderful cards, Jen. Love your rendition of Jenni's card. The blue card stock makes the oval with image pop. Love the sentiment and colors of the candles on the birthday card ... so fun.

Awesome rainbow of flames! I mean, candles on your FMS card. Love it--the colours are set off so well by the black background.
